Propper Asset Management, LLC is a privately owned Real-Estate Investment and Management firm with residential and commercial properties throughout Missouri. Our primary focus is providing outstanding service to our tenants and that starts with our greatest assets, our employees.

Propper Asset Management, LLC is looking for a highly motivated well rounded Office Manager to add to the administration in our corporate office. This is an onsite, full time position located at our corporate headquarters in St. Charles, MO with some remote flexibility after 6 months. Starting annual salary for an outstanding candidate is $50,000 - $55,000. Salary package also includes bonus programs, full benefits to include: medical, dental, vision, supplemental insurance, paid time off schedule, 10 paid holidays and a 4% Safe Harbor contribution in our 401K plan.

As the Office Manager you would be responsible for the following:

  • Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, and assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
  • Provides historical reference by working with required retention and defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records for current and future business needs.
  • Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
  • Assist in the designs and implementation of office policies by establishing standards and procedures, measuring results against standards, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends including but not limited to budgets, income and expenses across all business units
  • Achieves financial objectives by assisting with preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions for assigned cost centers
  • Coordinate and support operational functions of the properties as assigned. Including but not limited to process improvement initiatives and efficiency studies
  • Assist in the development, communication and implementation of policies and procedures for assigned projects
  • Gathers the materials necessary to understand the competition in the target markets such as literature, pricing, and previous marketing campaigns; analyzes these materials to assist in determining the most effective competitive strategy to compete in a dynamic market.
  • Based on assessment, drafts and proposes communications campaigns, which may include social and online media, print media, direct mail, and other multimedia.
  • Acts as project manager for assigned tasks, seeing projects thru from concept, planning, execution, implementation, and follow-up phases
  • Supports company operations by maintaining office systems and being a liaison and resource for the property managers.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Assisting the President of Propper Asset Management with reporting and operational needs as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned as business needs change and grow.

A qualified Office Manager would have some of the following experience in:

If you have experience in the skills and responsibilities above and have 3-5 years' experience in office management along with a bachelor's degree in business management or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in property-level accounting and working within a budgetary framework
  • Experience in Yardi or similar ERP systems is a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Docs etc.
  • Understanding or willingness to learn the day-to-day operations of a Property Manager
  • Self-motivated and effective working within a framework of ideas and concepts with little guidance
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to property management preferable, but can be trained.

Other position requirements:

Must have a valid driver's license, dependable transportation, and automobile insurance as required by the State of Missouri. Travel is primarily local during the business day. This is role is primarily onsite. Lite lifting may be required from time to time. Standard / common physical demands within an office and property management environment required, such as the ability to lift objects, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as needed.
